CEO Greg Edmonds has made appointments following purchase of helicopter division of Airwork Holdings Limited (NZ).
Salus Aviation, a global helicopter MRO and rotary and fixed wing aircraft sales and leasing company, has announced a new executive leadership team.
In December 2022, Salus Aviation purchased the helicopter division of Airwork Holdings Limited (NZ), and, with Oceania Aviation (NZ) and Heli Parts Network (US) already in the portfolio, taddition of Airwork’s experienced staff and capability has elevated the company to be one of the largest helicopter MRO facilities in the world. The changes at executive level will be followed by all the businesses trading as Salus Aviation. Airwork transitioned to Salus Aviation earlier this year and Oceania Aviation and Heli Parts Network will follow shortly.
Chief executive Greg Edmonds said: “The executive leadership team all have extensive experience in their specialised areas and I am confident the company will grow substantially under their leadership.”
Philipp Antwerpen has been promoted to executive general manager MRO. With more than 12 years’ experience in the aviation sector, Antwerpen is well positioned to take on this role. Formerly responsible for the global MRO sales, he led the regional account managers located around the world. His strong international relationships, professionalism, and focus on workflow through the workshops will see him drive the business forward.
As the executive general manager aircraft sales and leasing, Wayne Christie and his team provide holistic sustainable solutions for customers looking for aircraft to lease or buy. Christie, who has more than 30 years’ experience in aviation, is also head of the fleet team that manages the 44 helicopters Salus Aviation has on lease across every continent in the world.
Suauu Poloa joined Salus Aviation in 2022 as chief financial officer and heads up the finance, treasury, budget, reporting and analysis, and commercial functions for the group. Poloa has more than 15 years’ international accounting experience with roles across the retail and health and fitness industries.
Dwayne McCalman joins the ELT as general manager supply chain, with more than 22 years’ experience in the commercial aviation industry. He has for the past eight years led the MRO Supply Chain operational areas and has strong relationships with aviation suppliers around the world.
Salus Aviation has appointed Alan Bradbury as general manager safety and compliance. With 23 years’ experience in operational safety management he is also a SME in the practice of Just Culture. Bradbury leads a team of investigators, auditors, health and safety and SMS specialists to ensure industry best practices are continuously met.
Lisa Holland has returned to Salus Aviation as general manager – people and capability after a short break away from aviation. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience developing high-performing teams, building a dynamic culture, and executing strategic goals in the people space.
Joining the ELT and promoted from within the business Dajanna Campion has been appointed as general manager marketing. She will drive a strong brand strategy with continuous campaigns and communication to the industry. Campion has been in aviation for almost eight years but has more than 25 years within the field of marketing.
