RSM New Zealand is excited to announce the addition of Brendan Lyon as a partner in its growing Auckland audit practice. Known for his depth of expertise, Lyon joins RSM with more than two decades of experience supporting New Zealand’s leading businesses and public sector organisations.

Lyon’s appointment represents RSM’s growth and capacity in serving a range of clients across many industries and sectors. His background – spanning senior audit leadership and executive financial management – brings fresh value to RSM’s clients as they navigate today’s increasingly complex audit and regulatory landscape.

“I’m thrilled to join RSM at this stage of its growth and I look forward to working with a team that shares my commitment to delivering meaningful, client-focused audit solutions in this evolving market,” he said.

Before joining RSM, Brendan held a series of pivotal roles in New Zealand’s audit and finance sectors, including a distinguished 16-year tenure as an audit partner in the Big 4. His ability to bring strategic thinking, operational understanding, and financial precision to his work has earned him a respected position in the New Zealand business community.

Geetesh Raniga stated: “Brendan is the ideal fit for RSM as we continue to deepen our audit practice. His dual experience in audit and executive management aligns perfectly with RSM’s values of client-centred service and professional excellence.”

In his role at RSM, Lyon will work closely with clients, providing solutions-driven guidance and an approach tailored to each organisation’s unique goals and challenges. His joining coincides with RSM Audit’s move to 125 Queen Street.
