External Reporting Board chair Michele Embling joins fintech start-up.
Michele Embling has been appointed to the position of non-executive director to New Zealand financial services company, P^werFinance.
Embling’s previous role included overseeing the establishment and monitoring of New Zealand's financial reporting framework, and she has been a strong advocate for diverse and inclusive leadership. More recently, she has turned her focus to the challenges presented by climate change and the opportunity for businesses to transform their approach to sustainability.
Currently, she is the chair of the External Reporting Board. She also served as the chair of PwC in New Zealand from 2016 to 2020, where she was a partner for 15 years, holding numerous leadership, executive and governance roles across New Zealand and Asia. Embling also holds a board position with Toitū Tahua – the Centre for Sustainable Finance.
