Ospri appoints new CEO
Sam McIvor takes up the role in August.
Operational Solutions for Primary Industries (Ospri) – New Zealand’s integrated animal disease management and traceability service provider – has appointed a new chief executive.
Current Beef + Lamb New Zealand and New Zealand Meat Board CEO Sam McIvor will be joining Ospri in August 2024.
Ospri board chair, Dr Paul Reynolds said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sam as the new chief executive of Ospri. His extensive experience, coupled with his profound understanding of the agricultural sector, uniquely positions him to drive Ospri forward and deliver value to our shareholders, stakeholders, and the farming community.”
“I am honoured to have been appointed as the chief executive of Ospri,” said McIvor. “I am passionate about the work Ospri does to support New Zealand’s primary industries and I am committed to driving its mission forward with determination and innovation.”
As McIvor prepares to assume his new role, the Ospri board extends its gratitude to Steve Stuart for his exemplary leadership over the past five years. Stuart will step down on May 31, and an acting CEO will be appointed to ensure a seamless transition through to August when McIvor will begin his tenure.
