Investment bank has appointed experienced corporate adviser John Moore.
Technology-focused investment bank and corporate advisor North Ridge Partners has appointed John Moore as it expands amid growing local demand for specialist technology financing and corporate advisory.
For the past seven years, Moore has helped a wide range of small and medium-sized New Zealand companies raise equity and undertake strategic transactions at the corporate advisory firm he founded, Miro Capital.
Prior to establishing Miro Capital, Moore held senior equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions roles at Craigs Investment Partners, ABN AMRO, and Jardine Fleming across New Zealand and Asia. He has also held several non-executive director roles.
North Ridge founder and chair Roger Sharp said: “John brings to North Ridge nearly 30 years of capital markets and advisory expertise and strong local knowledge that will be of immense value.”

Singapore appointment
North Ridge has, meanwhile, also appointed Kevin Waller as a partner in its Singapore office. Waller is an expert in technology M&A. He spent three years as head of strategy for Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG), a joint venture investment fund of Germany’s Rocket Internet and Ooredoo Telecom (Qatar’s national telco).
He has structured multiple capital raises across the APACIG portfolio and has nine tech exits under his belt, including being heavily involved in the sale of online retailer Daraz to Alibaba in 2018, as well as a suite of classifieds and marketplace businesses across South-east Asia, India, and Latin America.
