Engineering and design consultancy appoints new executive team.
Harrison Grierson has appointed Richard McIntosh as chief operations manager, Matthew Fleming as chief financial officer, Karen West as chief people & communications and David Needham as chief clients & growth.
Mr McIntosh is a chartered engineer and project manager. Before joining Harrison Grierson in 2015 as general manager – land development, he managed a range of major multidisciplinary projects in the public and private sector. Mr McIntosh is chairman of Harrison Grierson’s health and safety committee and is an executive director on the Harrison Grierson board. Mr McIntosh has a bachelor (Hons) civil engineering and a NZIM diploma in managerial excellence in engineering and construction. He is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors.
Karen West was previously general manager – people & communications at Harrison Grierson and has been with the company since 2011. Before that she was the New Zealand marketing director for a global law firm. Ms West was appointed to the Harrison Grierson board in 2017 and to the Infrastructure New Zealand board in November 2018. Ms West is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors.
Matthew Fleming is a chartered accountant with over 25 years’ senior financial expertise. Before joining Harrison Grierson in 2015 as chief financial officer, Mr Fleming worked in a number of international and dynamic companies. Mr Fleming has a bachelor of commerce (Otago).
David Needham has over 20 years’ experience in land development and statutory planning, including managing multi-office, multidiscipline land development projects from start to finish. Mr Needham has a bachelor of resource and environmental planning. He is a recent graduate of Melbourne Business School’s leading for organisational change programme.
