Fletcher Building has announced the appointment of Nick Traber as chief executive of its concrete division, replacing Ian Jones who will remain with the group.
Fletcher Building CEO Ross Taylor said, “Nick Traber brings significant global experience to our concrete division, having worked in several different markets over the course of his career with LafargeHolcim, one of the world’s leading producers of cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete and building solutions and products.”
Traber currently leads LafargeHolcim’s business in its home market of Switzerland and Northern Italy, with more than 1000 employees. He has led programmes focused on innovation, sustainability and digitalisation.
Ian Jones, the concrete division’s current chief executive, will remain in the role over the coming months to support the leadership transition. Then he will move to a new role focused on strategic growth with the Fletcher Building group.
It’s anticipated Traber will take up his role in January 2021.
