Corporate takeovers market regulator makes two board appointments.
The Takeovers Panel has appointed Anna Buchly and Martin Stearne to its board. The Takeovers Panel is the government’s regulator of the corporate takeovers market.
Ms Buchly is the chairwoman and a partner in law firm Bell Gully. Ms Buchly is ranked as a leading lawyer in Chambers Asia Pacific 2018 and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2018.
Mr Stearne is a corporate consultant and a member of the NZX listing sub-committee and the investment committee of Impact Enterprise Fund. He was a former investment banker with First New Zealand Capital, and has experience in takeovers and equity capital markets.
These new appointments will take effect from February 1. The term is for five years.
Richard Hunt and Tony Pigou have been reappointed for a further term effective from September 3, 2018.
