Jeff McDowall will join MediaWorks on Monday May 10.
MediaWorks has announced it has appointed Jeff McDowall as chief operating officer.
McDowall will bring his extensive commercial and financial experience of more than 30 years to the newly created role. As COO he will be responsible for MediaWorks’ outdoor operations, as well as its finance, property, procurement and strategy functions.
McDowall will join MediaWorks after a significant career at Air New Zealand spanning more than two decades, most recently as chief financial officer. It was announced in October last year he would depart the airline mid-2021.
Some of his other previous senior leadership roles at the airline include acting CEO, group general manager - corporate finance and group general manager - commercial.
Prior to joining Air New Zealand in 2000 McDowall held roles with PwC in New Zealand, Singapore and the US and also spent time with Mobil Oil in New Zealand and London.

Recent appointments
McDowall will join MediaWorks on Monday 10 May. This follows the appointment of general counsel Rachel Callaghan and commercial director Liz Fraser who started with MediaWorks in March.
MediaWorks also made two new board appointments in March with Louise Bond and Nagaja Sanatkumar joining as independent directors.
