Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC) – a leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people – has announced the appointment of Toni Ferrier as chief executive of Marsh McLennan New Zealand, and president of Marsh NZ. She will be based in Auckland and report to Marsh McLennan Pacific CEO David Bryant and Josh Roach (when he takes up his role as Marsh Pacific president) on January 1, 2024.
In this role, Ferrier will be responsible for Marsh McLennan’s businesses in New Zealand, which operate across 11 locations. She will also work closely with Mercer New Zealand CEO Martin Lewington, to develop Marsh McLennan’s superannuation, health and benefits, and investment capabilities across the country.
Ferrier will join Marsh McLennan from AIG, where she has been CEO of AIG NZ since January 2020. With 30 years’ industry experience, she has held senior leadership positions at Vero, Lumley, Wesfarmers, and Crombie Lockwood. She is a board member of the Insurance Council of New Zealand and previously served as Commissioner of the New Zealand Earthquake Commission for two years.
