Fri, 01 Nov 2019

Dual-listed outdoor goods retailer Kathmandu Holdings’ purchase of surf brand Rip Curl has resulted in a promotion for a senior executive.

Reuben Casey, who is Kathmandu chief operating officer, has been appointed chief executive of the Kathmandu business.

Xavier Simonet will continue as group chief executive of Kathmandu Holdings, now including the Ripcurl business.

Chris Kincaid will continue as group chief financial officer, now including oversight of the Rip Curl business and Michael Daly will continue as chief executive of the Rip Curl business.

Simonet said Casey had been a key contributor to the success of Kathmandu over the past few years.

”I congratulate him on his promotion. And I wish him all the very best success.”
