Kathmandu appoints president of north American operation

Outdoor clothing retailer Kathmandu appoints head of new North American acquisition.

Thu, 17 Jan 2019

Kathmandu Holdings has appointed Amy Beck to the position of president Obōz / Kathmandu North America, based at the company’s North American headquarters in Bozeman, Montana.

Obōz Footwear founder, President and chief executive officer John Connelly, sold the company to New Zealand-based Kathmandu last year. He has supported the Kiwi retailer in its search for the right person to take over executive leadership of the outdoor footwear company as part of his plan to step back.

Ms Beck has experience in the outdoor and fashion industries with a range of skills including retail, brand marketing, distribution strategy and sales management. More recently, she held executive roles at Smartwool and Lucy Activewear, both part of VF Corporation.

Ms Beck will start her new role as from April 1 2019.
