HSBC has appointed Daniel Felton as country head and head of wholesale banking New Zealand, as the New Zealand wholesale business continues to grow.
Felton joins from HSBC UK, where he has led the corporate banking team in the south of the UK for the past five and a half years. He joined HSBC in 2006, working across the UK, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, in a variety of senior roles, predominantly within commercial and wholesale banking leadership. Felton has qualifications from the University of Sydney, London School of Economics, and University of Cambridge.
HSBC chief executive Australia and New Zealand Antony Shaw said: “We have a clear strategy in New Zealand, centred on supporting corporates to grow locally and also expand into offshore markets. Daniel has close to 20 years’ experience in this area, and with deep knowledge of the HSBC global network, he is well positioned to support the growth ambitions of our New Zealand clients.”

Felton will commence in the role from September 1, 2024.
