Hamilton Locke NZ appoints financial services partner

Bryan Ventura will take up the title once he has completed relevant New Zealand Law Society requirements.

Hamilton Locke New Zealand has appointed Bryan Ventura as its first financial services partner in the firm’s recently launched Auckland office, further strengthening the capabilities and expertise of our team across New Zealand and Australia. Ventura will take up the title of partner once he has completed the relevant New Zealand Law Society requirements. 

Ventura is an experienced funds and financial services lawyer with several years of in-depth expertise specialising in financial services and investment funds, focusing on FinTech, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, including wallets, broking, platforms, payments, Web3 technologies, NFTs, decentralised finance (DeFi), tokens, stablecoins, and VASP regulation. 

His comprehensive knowledge spans financial markets regulation, including licensing under the Financial Markets Conduct Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism regulations, and Financial Service Providers Register.

Ventura also has expertise in establishing various types of investment products and services, which encompasses a wide scope of corporate and commercial law including capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, investment products, venture capital, property, retail MIS, investment funds, and corporate structuring.

Hamilton Locke’s Auckland office launched in January 2023.
