Sydney-based M&A adviser beefs up NZ team.
Ngāi Tahu-backed mergers and acquisitions adviser GreenMount Advisory has hired NZ Super Fund portfolio manager Hamish Blackman as chief investment officer for its new fund management arm, GreenMount Capital.
Joining Blackman, who will be based in Christchurch, are former Adamantem Capital managing director Chris Adams, ex McGrathNicol M&A specialist Cath Holland, and former MinterEillison tax partner James Momsen.
Sydney-based GreenMount Advisory is run by founder and executive chair Ryan Davis ((Ngāi Tahu – Ōraka Aparima).
Last year, Ngāi Tahu invested an undisclosed sum in GreenMount for a 25% stake.
Ngāi Tahu Holdings chief executive Mike Pohio said at the time the investment would help GreenMount sacle up its business.
“Ngāi Tahu Holdings sees this as an opportunity to invest early in a rising company,” he said.
“GreenMount has proven competitive in the Sydney and Melbourne markets, attracting highly experienced staff and fast growth within its first 18 months of operation.
“We are also pleased to be investing in a company founded by a whānau member who has built a successful business within a short space of time.”
