Givealittle has welcomed marketing, legal, and business growth specialist Lythan Chapman as its chief executive, effective October 2024. From a career spanning law and business development, across various sectors and continents, Chapman brings a versatile skill set and strategic vision to the organisation.
Chapman will apply her diverse background to lead Givealittle’s next chapter, empowering New Zealanders to harness the power of generosity and collective giving. With the board’s support, her mission is to expand the platform’s reach, enhance its impact, and drive innovation in fundraising. This includes growing the number of charities utilising the site to engage with generous donors and increasing the use of the platform by schools running fundraisers, all while strengthening community support to create a lasting legacy of generosity.
Chapman said of her appointment: “Joining Givealittle is an opportunity to support the generosity of New Zealanders and drive meaningful change across the country. The team’s commitment to our mission is evident, and I look forward to working together to build on the platform’s legacy and lead it into an even brighter future.”
Givealittle chair Charlotte Lockhart (MNZM) said: “Lythan, with her global expertise and deep understanding of how to foster enduring connections, is the right person to lead Givealittle into its next phase as one of New Zealand’s best-known and most trusted brands. Her journey from practising law to leading growth initiatives showcases her adaptability, results-driven approach, and deep understanding of fostering enduring connections.
“Our platform … is in excellent hands under Lythan’s leadership, and the board and Givealittle team are eager to support her as she takes the organisation to new heights on behalf of generous, community-minded Kiwis.”
