Wed, 23 Feb 2022

Rebecca Larking has been appointed chief operations officer, and Pauline Martin appointed as chief trading officer of power company Genesis.

Larking has been with Genesis for 17 years and held seven roles in that time, most recently general manager of digital transformation.

As chief operations officer Larking will oversee the company’s generation sites, as well as iwi, community and environment partnerships. She is also responsible for Genesis’ 46% interest in the Kupe joint venture, which owns the Kupe Gas Field offshore of Taranaki.

Incoming Genesis chief trading officer Pauline Martin.

Martin began as an electrical engineer before diversifying into commercial and trading roles and was most recently general manager of electricity and carbon at Genesis.

“Larking and Martin bring a breadth of skills and experience to the executive team; I look forward to their contribution as we expand our renewable generation portfolio,” chief executive Marc England said.

Larking and Martin will shift to their new roles by mid-April.
