Power management company, Eaton Electrical ANZ, has announced the appointment of John Atherton to managing director of the Australian and New Zealand Division, electrical sector APAC effective as of January 2024.
Atherton will drive strategic and profitable growth, and direct all operational and business activities in ANZ to exceed customer requirements. In this role, Atherton will be reporting to Eaton Electrical Sector Asia Pacific’s president, Howard Liu, and will be based in the Mascot, Sydney office.
“John has leveraged his broad experience in data centre, channel strategy and services and effectively combined it with his passion for building and empowering a strong team culture to deliver aggressive growth in both market share and team capability. I am confident that John is well positioned to drive our future successes in ANZ.” Liu said.
Commenting on his appointment, Atherton said: “I am both privileged and excited to lead [this] team at a time where our markets are heavily influenced by both energy transition and digitalisation trends. There are many exciting opportunities ahead and I look forward to making our communities stronger through Eaton’s technology.”
Atherton is a passionate leader who brings more than 25 years of experience in the critical power industry to his new role. For the past eight years, he has led Eaton’s power quality division ANZ, where he and his team delivered year-on-year growth. Prior to Eaton, he held several leadership positions at Schneider Electric.
