Parking technology company has a new director, the former chief executive of Callaghan Innovation, Dr Mary Quin.
Chairman Malcolm Bailey said Dr Quin would make a valuable contribution to Frogparking’s continued growth.
“Mary’s many years of experience in the US market, technical knowledge and governance experience will help us grow Frogparking and keep us at the leading edge of the industry.
“We want to keep focused on our growth strategy, building on the strong foothold we have established in our key markets, and expanding into new ones. We are growing fast, and the experience and skill of our whole team are vital.”
Dr Quin is a Westpac New Zealand director, and chairs of the Westpac NZ board technology committee.
In 2014, Dr Quin was named a New Zealander of the Year by the New Zealand Herald for her role in testifying at the US trial of a terrorist involved in an attack on a tour group in Yemen. She was among the group of tourists taken hostage and wrote a best-selling book about the kidnapping that included how she tracked down and confronted the terrorist at a mosque in London.
Frogparking has been active in the US for over five years and has built a strong presence in-market with many key reference customers, an in-market sales, operations, and support team, and headquarters in Southern California.
Palmerston North-born, Dr Quin said she was delighted to be joining Frogparking’s board.
“The company has a strong foundation in its key markets and I’m excited to offer my skills and experience to continue the company’s growth and add to Frogparking’s success story”, says Dr Quin.
Dr Quin will oversee general company direction and strategy, technology developments, and be a mentor for senior staff.
