Dentons Kensington Swan has announced the promotion of three new partners, continuing its growth in New Zealand. Campbell Featherstone, Silvia McPherson, and Ezekiel Hudspith – all existing senior members of the team – will join the partnership in 2022.

Dentons Kensington Swan chief executive Charles Spillane said: “The world continues to face disruption and uncertainty; these appointments reflect that Dentons Kensington Swan has the talent at the highest level to support our local and international clients on their most complex matters.”

Campbell Featherstone joins the leadership of the Wellington corporate and commercial team. He specialises in advising clients on commercial, technology, and privacy/data protection law (including GDPR) issues. His clients include global technology companies, government departments and commercial entities.

Featherstone started with the firm as a law graduate in 2008 and returned in 2018 after spending five years in private practice in London.

Silvia McPherson

Silvia McPherson joins the leadership of the private wealth team in Auckland, specialising in asset protection, business succession planning, and trust and charity law.

McPherson has significant international experience gained in the UK market where she provided a range of trusts, private client, tax, and charity law advice to high-net-worth individuals; trustees of private, statutory, and commercial trusts; financial institutions; and charities.

Ezekiel Hudspith

Ezekiel (Zeke) Hudspith joins the leadership of the environment and planning team in Wellington and specialises in helping clients to navigate all aspects of the Resource Management Act and related legislation.

He also assists clients in obtaining resource consents and designations and making submissions on changes to district and regional plans. Hudspith has particular expertise and experience in freshwater management, Three Waters infrastructure, and water allocation.

Dentons Kensington Swan chair Hayden Wilson said: “Campbell, Silvia and Zeke are leaders in their fields. Each of them has established reputations as pragmatic advisers who add value to their clients’ projects.”
