Deloitte has announced the appointment of nine new partners and 14 new directors, bringing the complement of partners up to 130 and directors to 76 into a total national team that now exceeds 1400.
The new leaders represent a diverse group of talent and a continued commitment to creating visible opportunities for Deloitte people to grow their careers.
In Auckland: Jamie Hall has been appointed tax and private partner. He specialises in tax and commercial advice to large, family-owned businesses and leads the Fast 50 programme; new consulting partner Jane Fitzgerald works in operations transformation, specialising in business model transformation; Roopa Raj has been appointed risk avisory partner, with extensive experience in the financial services sector; and Bennie Greyling joins the assurance and advisory partners, having led a wide variety of engagements spanning multiple industries and borders.
The new Auckland directors are: Rajesh Pradhan (risk advisory); Jamie Abela (tax and private); Liz Nelson (tax and private); Rob Campbell (financial advisory – restructuring); Kerry Williams (consulting); and Mere Kingi (tax and private and Māori services group).
In Wellington, Robyn Walker joins our tax and private partners. Walker is also the national technical director with a specific focus on tax policy and legislative developments. Jane Fraser-Jones has been appointed a joint partner in corporate finance and risk advisory. She joined Deloitte after spending six years as the former prime minister’s senior adviser, and works almost exclusively with public sector and industry bodies. Lee-Ann du Toit has been made actuarial services partner, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
The new Wellington directors are: Colin Owens (financial advisory – restructuring); Zoe Wallis (chief economist); Victoria Harrison (tax and private); Tom Moore (risk advisory); and Jodee Webb (tax and private).
In Christchurch, Nicole Dring has been appointed as partner in assurance and advisory. She is an experienced audit professional with a demonstrated history of working with clients in a range of industries. Also in Christchurch, Crispin Deans has been appointed a director in risk advisory and Emma Johns as a director in consulting following her return from the UK.
The Hamilton branch will be joined by Muhammad Cajee, appointed as a corporate finance partner. He joined Deloitte in 2016 from Johannesburg, where he built a career around transaction and M&A advisory services. Andrea Scatchard has been appointed director in our Hamilton tax and private team.
Deloitte New Zealand chief executive Thomas Pippos said: “Once again and synonymous with our continued growth, we are admitting a significant number of senior members of the team into the leadership group – 23 in total for this half year.”
