Citi has announced the appointment of Stefan Boisen as Citi New Zealand chief executive, subject to local regulatory approval.
Boisen will report to Mark Woodruff, head of Citi’s Australia and New Zealand sub cluster. Boisen succeeds Derek Syme, who retired at the end of 2023.
Boisen will be responsible for driving Citi’s strategy in New Zealand. This includes serving as a partner to Citi’s clients, maintaining a strong risk and control environment, and fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and supportive culture for the franchise.
Prior to this appointment, Boisen was the head of corporate bank for Citi New Zealand and has been an integral member of the New Zealand team for more than 10 years.
