CBRE has recruited Hamish Clarke as head of industrial and logistics property in its Christchurch office.
Clarke brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent more than three decades in the property sector, CBRE Christchurch managing director Tim Rookes said.
“We are tremendously excited to bring Hamish on board. He has extensive client-side experience working on some of the most prominent industrial and commercial property developments in Christchurch. His relationships and connections with property owners and occupiers are second to none, along with his experience and knowledge of the industrial and logistics sectors,” Rookes said.
“Hamish’s skills and experience add further depth to our industrial and logistics offering, bringing a broader suite of consultancy and sales services to our clients. Hamish will be focused on investment sales, working closely with our national and Australian industrial and logistics teams.”
Clarke began his career as a registered valuer and later moved into property management. He has spent the past 20 years in development management. This includes the initial development of Dakota Park, Christchurch International Airport’s freight and logistics park; as well as Waterloo Business Park, a multi-staged 114-ha business park on the former Islington Freezing Works site.
More recently, Clarke was involved with the development of Harvard Park, a Christchurch International Airport-owned mixed-use commercial development on 40ha of land.
Mitchell Wallace joins office leasing team
CBRE Christchurch also welcomes Mitchell Wallace, who has joined the office leasing team as senior negotiator, working alongside fellow senior negotiator Adam Wallis.
Wallace has spent the past four years negotiating office and retail property transactions, working with a wide range of clients on both sides of transactions, from small single-office operators through to international tenants, Rookes said.
“Bringing Mitchell on board bolsters our position in the Christchurch office leasing market. Mitchell and Adam have forged a position as two of the top leasing agents in the local market, so we’re very pleased to have Mitchell.”
