PwC managing partner Warwick Hunt joins bank.
Bank of New Zealand has announced the appointment of Warwick Hunt as an independent non-executive director.
He is currently PwC UK managing partner and chair of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa executive team, but will be returning home to New Zealand, after 12 years overseas, to commence this role.
“In this time of global uncertainty, banks have an increasingly important role to provide stability and support,” Hunt said.
Since joining PwC New Zealand in 1995, Hunt led its New Zealand business for seven years before leading PwC’s Middle East region for six years, both as territory senior partner and managing partner.
BNZ chair Doug McKay was pleased to welcome Hunt on behalf of the BNZ board: “Hunt‘s strong leadership skills and achievements in his time with PwC will serve BNZ well,” he said.
Hunt’s directorship will be effective November 1.
