Incoming CEO Tanya Walshe replaces Brendon Hill who was promoted to Australasian role.
Bauer Media Group has appointed Tanya Walshe managing director of Bauer Media NZ, taking effect from June 1
Walshe succeeds Brendon Hill in the role. Hill has just been appointed chief executive of Bauer Media Australia and New Zealand, following the retirement of current chief executive Paul Dykzeul.
Walshe steps into the role with 28 years’ experience working in media. She has sat on the Bauer Media NZ executive team for the past nine years, since joining the company in 2009 as group research and strategy manager. In 2016 Walshe’s remit was extended to include the role of publisher – weeklies and fashion. The following year she was promoted to general manager – publishing and insights, with overall responsibility for 15 magazine brands as well as Bauer’s research teams in both New Zealand and Australia.
Bauer Media New Zealand is the country’s largest magazine publisher, with 17 magazine brands.
