Air New Zealand COO Carrie Hurihanganui has quit the airline to take up the top job at NZX-listed Auckland Airport.

Hurihanganui began at Air New Zealand as a flight attendant in 1999 while studying for her Bachelor of Business Management, and will be the first female to hold the chief executive
