Argosy Property Ltd has announced that Jeff Morrison has been unanimously appointed as the new chair of the company, with effect from the close of the annual shareholders meeting on July 28, 2020.
Retiring chair Mike Smith said: “having been on the Argosy board for over seven years, Jeff is the ideal person to take Argosy forward. He brings a wealth of property and governance experience and is highly regarded by the Argosy management team and the board.”
Morrison has 40 years of experience as a property lawyer, 29 of them as a commercial property partner at Russell McVeagh, and now practises on his own account. Morrison is a trustee of the Spirit of Adventure and other charitable trusts and holds a number of private company directorships.
He is a qualified lawyer with a law degree from the University of Auckland. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
