Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum has announced the appointment of Greg Lowe, group chief executive at Beca, as the New Zealand co-chair of the ANZLF, which brings business and government together to help Australia and New Zealand prosper.
Along with the Australian co-chair Ann Sherry AO, Lowe will oversee the ANZLF’s programme of work to further strengthen the bilateral relationship.
Lowe joins the forum with considerable experience in both public and private sectors. In his current role, Lowe leads Beca as the group chief executive, a leading Asia Pacific consultancy firm, who have just celebrated 50 years in Australia and, in 2020, 100 years in New Zealand.
“In my role at Beca, and in my previous roles working on both sides of the Tasman, I have seen first-hand the opportunities and challenges the bilateral relationship presents. I am passionate about building momentum among the transtasman business community so we can continue to pursue opportunities and solve the challenges,” Lowe said.
Lowe replaces Adrian Littlewood, who was in the role for five years, as the New Zealand co-chair. Littlewood welcomed the appointment of Lowe to build on this momentum.
At the 2019 Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum held in Auckland in September, issues of common interest included data sharing and privacy, the future of work, the needs of small business and Indigenous engagement.
