The Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF) welcomes the appointment of John Paitaridis, CEO of CyberCX, as the new Australian co-chair.

Current Australian co-chair Pip Marlow has decided to transition from the role and will be stepping down as she pursues the next phase of her professional journey. The ANZLF board expressed appreciation for her leadership.

Marlow welcomed Paitaridis’s appointment to the role: “As I step down, I am pleased to announce the appointment of John Paitaridis as the new Australian co-chair. John’s proven track record and deep understanding of digital security not only align with our strategic goals but also underscore his ability to steer Australia-New Zealand relations toward enhanced cooperation and resilience in the modern era.”

Paitaridis will join New Zealand co-chair, Beca strategic adviser and former group CEO Greg Lowe, as leaders of the ANZLF.

Paitaridis is a recognised leader in the technology industry with an esteemed career in cyber security, having been responsible for enabling the digital transformation and cyber security strategies for some of the most significant public-sector organisations and global enterprises across a wide range of sectors from banking and financial services to mining and agriculture.

He is committed to the digital future of Australia and New Zealand, with a proven ability to translate vision and strategy into execution and results.

Aotearoa New Zealand co-chair Greg Lowe welcomed the appointment, saying: “In the increasingly complex and uncertain global environment, there are many opportunities to advance the bilateral relationship, including in technology and innovation where John’s deep knowledge will be very valuable.

“I would like to thank Pip Marlow for her insightful leadership of the Forum over the last two years including her strong support for the ANZLF Emerging Leaders group, as well as her longstanding advocacy for the trans-Tasman relationship.”

Paitaridis has commenced his role today.
