Telecommunications company 2degrees has strengthened its executive leadership team with the promotion of Emma-Kate Greer to the position of chief corporate affairs officer.
Greer joined 2degrees in October 2021 as general manager corporate affairs and strategy.
Chief executive Mark Callander described Greer as “a fierce advocate for the great work happening right across 2degrees”.
Greer said the 2degrees business was incredibly purpose driven, driving the work of the team. “Along with the traditional corporate affairs functions, the team is particularly focused on strengthening 2degrees’ Kaupapa Māori initiatives, engaging mana whenua, and continuing its focus on sustainability.
“I am incredibly excited to work for an organisation passionate about its purpose, growing and expanding into new sectors, and generally challenging the status quo in a bid to benefit New Zealand and Kiwi consumers.”
Before 2degrees, Greer held corporate affairs roles at Genesis, TVNZ, and Telecom.
Greer holds a senior executive Master of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School and a Master of Digital Business from the University of Waikato.
