Iconic theme park Rainbow’s End has a new chief executive at its helm. Rainbow’s End’s board has appointed Susan Mudie CEO, effective September 23, 2024. Mudie succeeds Karen Crabb, who signalled her intention to step down earlier this year.

Mudie is currently business development and marketing manager at Rainbow’s End. She brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her new role. Since joining Rainbow’s End in 2018, Mudie has been instrumental in driving the Park’s growth and innovation. Her strategic initiatives and data-driven approach have helped to maximise revenue and enhance the guest experience, making Rainbow’s End a beloved destination for more than 430,000 visitors annually.

Rainbow’s End board chair Richard Wilks expressed his confidence in Mudie’s leadership: “We are delighted Susan has accepted the role of chief executive. Her vision and dedication have been key to our success and we look forward to the exciting developments she will bring to the park.”

Mudie’s said: “I am a big fan of Rainbow’s End and the impact we have on the community and visitors to Tāmaki Makaurau. I’ve loved working with Karen for the past six years and am excited to pick up the reigns … it truly is a dream job.

“We’re on an exciting ride, and I am looking forward to building on our successes and continuing to provide unforgettable experiences for our guests,” she said.
