West Coast gold mine repays PGF loan

Federation Mining seeking capital for next phase of development at Snowy River mine near Reefton.

The mine is forecast to produce 70,000 ounces of gold a year for 10 years.

An Australian company working to revive a West Coast gold mine has repaid its $15 million Provincial Growth Fund loan in full, with interest, says Regional Development Minister Shane Jones.

The money was loaned to Tasman Mining, a subsidiary of Federation Mining, to fund works on the Snowy River
