Venture capital funding hits new high

The funding gap for growing Kiwi firms is closing as money looks for a home, EY reports.

Investment in promising New Zealand companies reached record levels last year, EY’s latest Private Capital Monitor report shows.

Total investment and divestment activity by the private equity and venture capital sector rose to $2.5 billion in 2020, up from $2.2b in 2019.
