TAB ads appear on podcast about ‘predatory’ betting apps
The gambling operator says it was aiming for an audience that aligns with its brand and did not realise it was advertising next to an interview with a recovering gambling addict.
TAB operator Entain placed advertising promoting sports betting in the middle of a podcast episode on gambling addiction, featuring an interview with a gambler who contemplated suicide.
The ads appeared this month as Parliament mulls a Bill extending Entain’s sports betting monopoly to online.
