UPDATE: The Overseas Investment Office as published details of its decision to approve the $25.7 million purchase of 582ha of farmland by Synlait Milk, citing a substantial and identifiable benefit to New Zealand.
Synlait announced the acquisition on March 11 without naming the vendor.
