Steel & Tube fails in steel mesh appeal
High Court increases penalty for Fair Trading Act breaches.
Steel & Tube’s attempt to appeal a fine for misleading customers for its steel mesh has backfired as the High Court instead increased the penalty.
In a statement to the NZX, Steel & Tube said the court had added $124,000 to the fine, raising it from $1.885m to $2.009 million.
