SFO lays fraud charges against former Nelson executive

Neil Barnes accused of fraudulently obtaining more than $2 million between 2011 and 2018.

An arrest warrant has been issued.

A former investment company executive facing numerous fraud charges can now be named.

The Serious Fraud Office has brought 51 charges of theft by a person in a special relationship and 51 charges of false accounting against Neil Barnes, who currently lives overseas.

He is accused of fraudulently
