Deputy Governor responds to criticism over its handling of CBL.

Reserve Bank deputy governor Geoff Bascand has acknowledged the central bank's shortcomings in its oversight of failed insurer CBL Insurance.

Speaking at the NZ Shareholders’ Association annual meeting at the weekend, Bascand noted an independent report of the bank's response released in July
