Port of Auckland splashes out $40m dividend

A record 335,290 passengers on 133 ship calls saw a significant jump in cruise line returns, with a ‘significant contribution’ to port profitability.

Port of Auckland will pay a $20 million fillip to its council shareholder, bringing the full year dividend to $40m, up 25% on the prior year.

The country‘s second-busiest port, after Port of Tauranga, reported underlying net profit after tax of $55.2m for the year to June.
