PGG Wrightson sells seeds unit for $421m

NZX-listed company’s most profitable business goes to Danish buyer.

PGG Wrightson has agreed a deal to sell its seed and grain business to Danish multinational DLF Seeds for $421 million.

The transaction is conditional on shareholder approval and Commerce Commission clearance.

The company said it was considering a capital return to shareholders of up to $292m
