NZX reports boom in capital raising post-Covid

Kiwi firms have rushed to the market in far greater numbers than following the GFC.

Capital raisings on the New Zealand sharemarket rose 62% in the six months to June, as Covid-hit firms sought funds to shore up their balance sheets.

NZX-listed firms raised a collective $5.89 billion in the half, the exchange has reported.
