The New Zealand Superannuation Fund has delivered an 11.9% pre-tax return for the year to June, due to a strong performance by global share markets in the second half.

The fund’s value increased by $9.7 billion to a record high $65.4b in the year.

Its return did lag that of its Reference Portfolio
