Napier Port signs deal to build new wharf

The new wharf should be ready to receive its first ship in late 2022.

Napier Port has contracted HEB Construction to build a new 350m wharf to boost the listed port’s ability to handle more and larger ships.

The project is expected to cost between $173 million and $190m.

HEB is part of the Wellington Gateway Partnership building the beleaguered Transmission
