Meat co-op pays dividend as Covid-19 danger past

Trading performance gives confidence cash can be paid out to shareholders.

The Silver Fern Farms Co-operative, 50% owner of the eponymous South Island meat processor, has released a dividend payment to its farmers withheld as a precaution because of Covid-19.

The $7.9 million payout comprises a fully imputed dividend of 5.4c a share and a patronage reward of 6c a share
