Lower kiwifruit harvest, fruit quality is high

The latest national kiwifruit crop is lower than expected – by as much as 8%  – because of the hot, dry summer and early autumn.

Seeka, the country’s largest grower and post-harvest operator, now expects to pack 8.3% less kiwifruit than its pre-season estimates.
