Economic growth bounced back more than most expected in the June quarter, confounding a majority of the pundits.

The official figure of 1.0% was the highest in two years, Statistics NZ says, and is double the previous March quarter’s 0.5%.

Growth was broad-based, with 15 of 16 industries
