Auckland Council closes offer early with $500m in the bag

Auckland Council’s latest bond offer has closed early and raised $500 million, $200m more than planned, as investors rushed for a piece of the action.

The 30-year 2.95% bond maturing in September 2050 is the longest-dated bond to be issued in New Zealand, exceeding the government’s 2041 bond
