“In the global financial crisis, people were still travelling. We were never down to this low an occupancy,” says Sudesh Jhunjhnwala, CEO of hotel operator Sudima Group.

He was commenting as hotel groups warned the coronavirus shutdown is leaving them fighting for their survival.
