Goods trade deficit narrows in August

Crude oil leads rise in both exports and imports.

The normally quiet trade month of August produced a goods deficit of $1.6 billion, marginally narrower than the record monthly gap in September 2018 and the second largest in August 2018

Goods exports rose $151 million (3.8%) to $4.1b on a year earlier while goods imports increased $149m (2.7%)
