Gloriavale-owned honey business fails

Forest Gold Honey was placed into liquidation due to a fall in sales, difficulties finding skilled staff, and a customer falling outside its credit terms.

Forest Gold produced a range of clover and mānuka honey products from a facility near Gloriavale.

A West Coast mānuka honey business owned by Gloriavale has collapsed.

Liquidator Brenton Hunt from Insolvency Matters was appointed to Forest Gold Honey Ltd on November 27 following a request from the company’s sole shareholder, Alpine Health Manufacturing New Zealand Ltd.
